POSITION: Director of Business Development

Location: West Bend, WI

Primary Responsibilities:
As a result of unique market opportunities, Time Investment Company (TIC) has an opportunity for a Director of Business Development (Director) to join our organization. The Director will be responsible for leading the business development function within our home improvement & water filtration business lines to meet our aggressive growth goals. This will include building a successful nationwide sale team to expand our existing contractor relationship and identify and on-board new contractors. The Director will be responsible assessing our current business strategy, identifying areas of opportunity, and implementing solutions in a profitable manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as Management may deem necessary from time to time.
Development and execution of business development strategy including product programs, processes, pricing, and performance metrics.
Expand and develop all members of the business development team. Inside sales, outside sales, and dealer support teams report to the Director. The Director responsible for hiring and supervising sales personnel including annual reviews and all training updates.
Seeks out, develops, and leads the company’s strategic partnerships with contractors, corporate entities, associations, and brokers. Leads prospective projects through phone calls, emails, professional affiliations traveling, attending conferences, and utilizing the Internet’s resources.
Actively manages deal negotiations, contract development, due diligence, and other business development or alliance development projects.
Leads creation of goals and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and is accountable for reporting progress to revenue targets. Collaborates with Finance Dept. on revenue & margin targets, and forecasting. Partners with other departments to drive profitable revenue growth.
Serves as strategic liaison for key organizational initiatives between all divisions. Sets priorities for business development planning activities across all divisions and functions.
Partners closely with marketing department on all facets of partner lifecycle documents, planning of marketing, promotions, digital assets, including the website.
Creates and implements short and long-term decisioning regarding product development including expansion into new markets and go to market strategies based on strategic objectives.
Creates and manages the annual business development team sales & revenue targets.

Full time position.
Salary and commissions based on proven track record.

Experience & Performance:
Minimum of ten (10) years prior experience leading remote inside and outside sales professionals in the home improvement industry, either as a lender or a contractor.
Proven track record in building business development teams.
Proven track record in successfully developing new business with a ""hunter"" style.
Outstanding record of success in leading teams in winning large new business opportunities and improving program profitability.
Work environment:
Given the strategic nature of this role, the Director is expected to be in office 1 to 3 days per week depending on business travel for key customer meetings, conferences, and team development.
Remote work is available 2 to 3 days per week.
Requires a bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and fifteen (15) plus years progressively responsible related experience, or a combination of education and experience.
A master's degree in business administration is recommended, but not required.
Communication skills:
The Director must possess strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to share clear, relevant messages to external and internal partners at all levels.
It is expected the Director will create compelling and professional documents to present to internal and external partners. Requires good negotiation skills.

Ability to build a consistent, efficient, and scalable program through MVP process. Well-versed in successfully leading organizations through change.
Coaching and mentoring:
Require stellar coaching and mentoring skills to support and retain top sales talent.
Effective problem-solver:
Demonstrated ability to solve problems professionally and effectively and will be tasked with resolving personnel and partner challenges.

Experience creating and implementing a successful sales strategy by analyzing relevant information to drive data-informed strategies.
