Fired FTC Democratic Commissioners File Lawsuit Seeking Full Reinstatement

Two Democrats who President Donald Trump removed from the Federal Trade Commission have filed a lawsuit seeking full reinstatement and a permanent injunction preventing the White House from firing them without cause.

Counsel for Rebecca Kelly Slaughter and Alvaro Bedoya allege Trump unlawfully removed the Democratic FTC commissioners in violation of federal law and a 90-year U.S. Supreme Court precedent.
