JPMorgan Chase credit card charge-off rate improves in March

  • JPMorgan Chase (NYSE:JPM)’s credit card metrics improved in March 2024, with its net charge-off rate dropping almost 10 basis points.
  • The Chase Issuance Trust delinquency rate ticked down 1 bps to 0.79% from 0.80% in February. That’s down from its 0.88% level in March 2023 and still solidly below the pre-pandemic level of 1.23% in March 2019.
  • The trust’s net charge-off rate of 1.49% dropped from 1.58% in February, according to JPMorgan’s (JPM) filing. That compares with 1.62% a year ago and 2.55% five years ago.
