Rock Hill, SC – Williams & Fudge, Inc. is excited to celebrate the 20th anniversary of its annual Bike Race for the Kids, an event that has helped provide thousands of bikes to children in need over the past two decades. Through the dedication of employees, community partners, and generous supporters, the company has donated a total of 4,798 bikes to youth in the greater York County area.

In recognition of this milestone, Williams & Fudge is proud to announce that, in 2024, it will donate over 300 more bikes to local children and expand its giving efforts beyond South Carolina to communities in Georgia, Texas, and New York, where remote employees reside.

This year’s event took place on the campus of the Old Cotton Factory, where employees and community partners gathered to participate in self-propelled heats, racing on bikes purchased throughout the year that are then loaded to be taken to Toys for Happiness warehouse. This years event was live-streamed to accommodate employees working remotely across the nation, ensuring everyone could join in the celebration and support the cause.

“Looking back over the past 20 years, we are incredibly grateful for the generosity of our employees, community partners, and donors who have made this initiative possible,” said David Williams, CEO of Williams & Fudge, Inc. “While bikes have always been at the heart of our mission, we’re thrilled to extend our impact to even more communities this year, ensuring that kids across the country get the opportunity to enjoy the simple joy of having their Christmas morning wishes come true. We are excited about what’s ahead as we continue to build on this tradition of giving.”

The event raises funds for the purchase of bicycles, which are then distributed by Toys for Happiness to youth in York County and beyond. In 2024, Williams & Fudge, Inc. employees and the Williams Family Foundation raised $15,532, which helped purchase 300 bikes from Walmart at Newport and Academy Sports + Outdoors in Rock Hill, SC.

The company’s annual Bike Race for the Kids continues to receive support from Williams & Fudge employees and a variety of local partners, including Academy Sports + Outdoors, Blue Cross Blue Shield of South Carolina, Canteen, Climer Wealth Management Group – LPL, Comporium, Data Network Solutions, Faircloth Law Firm, Family Trust Credit Union, Founders Federal Credit Union, Knowledge Perk, People’s First Insurance, Rock Hill Police Department, Smith Dray Line, South State Bank, The Echols Firm, The Fellas, HOPE of Rock Hill Walmart at Newport, and WRHI Radio.
