$2,000 donation supports Mercy Connection’s Community Lunches program. VFCU photo
Vermont Business Magazine Vermont Federal Credit Union in the month of March 2025 donated a total of $9,000 to Vermont nonprofits, administered by the Vermont Federal Foundation (Vermont Federal’s 501(c)(3) non profit charitable organization).
The programs supported are:
- Mercy Connections – This $2,000 donation supports Mercy Connection’s Community Lunches program. This initiative provides warm meals and a welcoming space for those in need, fostering connection and support in our community. - Vermont Folklife – This $1,000 donation helps to preserve and share the diverse voices and traditions of our state. Vermont Folklife’s work captures the heart of Vermont’s communities through storytelling, history, and cultural initiatives. - Salvation Farms – This $1,500 donation helps Salvation Farm’s mission of reducing food waste and increasing access to fresh, local produce. - Capstone Community Action – This $2,500 donation supports Capstone’s Fuel Your Neighbors program. This initiative provides emergency heating assistance to local families, ensuring Vermonters stay warm during the coldest months. The Vermont Federal Foundation’s mission is to uplift the Vermont community and bolster organizations dedicated to aiding those in need.
